The People Behind The Tech Concierge

April 20, 2026 · 4 min read

A look at the team running the engagements — who we are, how we work, and why the people matter more than the product catalog.

There's a version of an IT consulting firm that hides behind decks, job titles, and polished proposals. You never know who you're actually working with. You never know why they believe what they believe, or how they developed the instincts that are supposed to guide your technology decisions.

That's not Baseline and this April, we're proving it.

We're bringing you behind-the-scenes on our team, on the founders behind the technologies we trust, and on the philosophy that drives every engagement we run. The best tech decisions don't come from algorithms or vendor sheets, they come from people.

Meet the Team: The Humans Behind It All

Behind every recommendation we make, every vendor we vet, every late-night call we take: there's a real person with a real story. We know that matters more than most companies want to admit.

This month we're introducing a series of short-form content where you get to know the Baseline team as humans first, consultants second. What's Ian Fasack's actual morning routine, the one that doesn't involve green juice and a 4am meditation session? What's Marc Devoe's go-to coffee order after a red-eye client call? What book changed the way Amy Nishi thinks about leadership and problem-solving?

These aren't throwaway questions. The books we read, the podcasts we listen to, the habits we've built are the foundation of how we think and advise. Our values aren't a slide in a deck, they live in the daily practices of five people who care deeply about getting this right.

Introducing the Baseline Founder Series

One of the most consistent things our clients tell us is that they trust us because we don't just know the tools but we also know the people who built them. We've sat in the rooms where early-stage technology gets created. We've advised VC-backed founders from seed to scale. And we think you should have access to those conversations too.

That's why we're launching the Baseline Founder Series: a recurring feature where we sit down with the founders behind the technologies we believe in. We'll go deep on their backgrounds, what drove them to build what they built, where their technology is headed, and what it means for your business right now.

These aren't sponsored conversations or vendor pitches. This is us sharing our network with you, the same way a great concierge introduces you to the people worth knowing.

First Up: Pranava Adduri, CTO & Co-Founder of Bedrock Security

Pranava Adduri didn't always plan on building one of the most important data security companies in the market today. He came up through industrial engineering, economics, and computer science: a triple major that looks unusual until you realize that mathematical optimization, sampling techniques, and machine learning transformer models are exactly the intellectual toolkit you'd want for the problem Bedrock is solving.

"You can't protect what you don't understand. Before you can build a cyber strategy, you have to make sense of your data — what it is, what it's worth, and how it maps to your business."

The problem Bedrock is solving: enterprises are generating more data than they can possibly protect. The traditional approach of scanning for patterns like social security numbers, flagging everything that looks sensitive just creates a flood of false positives. None of it works at scale, because the tools don't have business context.

Bedrock's approach flips the model. Before classifying data as restricted, confidential, or public, they establish business context first. Their pipeline featurizes data at scale, maps those features against what's actually important to that specific company, and then aligns the findings to legal and GRC policies. Bedrock never sees your actual data. They produce metadata features. That's a fundamentally different privacy architecture than most security tools offer.

What To Expect This Next Month

Over the next four weeks, you'll see more of the Baseline team: their real routines, their real recommendations, the things they actually read and listen to and think about. You'll also get the full conversation with Pranava, and we'll be announcing the next founder in the series shortly.

Follow the Baseline page if you want to stay ahead of the curve on AI governance, data security, cloud optimization, and the early-stage tools that are going to matter before most people know they exist.

This is thought leadership the way it should work: real people, real relationships, real insights. Not a content calendar. Not a vendor pitch. Just the conversations worth having and the access you get when you work with a team that's been in the right rooms for 30 years.
